I attended Lakeview elementry and Ramsay High school and dabbled in sports and summer camping. I was blessed with two loving parents who guided me to love God and serve people. It was easy to catch that passion in their lives. Even though Alden and Georgetta are in heaven, their legacy continues through all their children, grandchildren and the many lives they touched. While in Tulsa, my father met the Johnson family and came home and told me he had met my future wife. His teasing became a reality when I met this beautiful girl. I had to act quickly before she was pursued by others or discovered my shortcomings. When Dad tried to take credit for Susie, I reminded him that he only made the down payment while I make the monthly payments. I love writing each check! The Heavenly Father blessed us with four children: Greg, Kim, Kristin and Caroline. They have all surpassed their Dad with their wonderful capabilities and desires to help others. It is now my chance to learn from them and count grandchildren--seven! Susie and I spent most of our career pastoring churches in Burlington, Ontario, and Birmingham, Alabama. The ministry gave us the opportunity to participate in the meaningful events in people's lives, proclaim God's truth and mobilize many to serve the Father. We were blessed with many friends through these ventures who still bring joy to our lives. In the fall of 2009, we stepped down from formal pastoral service and are busy with Gannett Ministries and the Gannett Leadership Center. Our passion is to provide resources and training to release the spiritual empowerment of people. Our schedule is busy speaking, writing, coaching and volunteering.
