Tom joined the US Army just after graduation. He was shot down over Cam Rahn Bay, South Vietnam by friendly fire aboard a Huey transport copter while ferrying prisoners . He has been listed MIA all these years. His name is on the Vietnam War Memorial Wall. His family never gave up hope for answers. None came.
