About Me	I began my teaching career with the Lower Dauphin SD in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. I taught at the LD Middle School and South Hanover Elementary School. I left Lower Dauphin for a teaching position in the Central Dauphin School District's highly rated "Alternative Program." I began my career as an ESL teacher in 1999. I received my ESL Certification from PSU Berks/Adelante and my Master's Degree in English as a second language from Turabo University/PSU Berks in 2008. I was named CD East HS Head Girls soccer coach in 1994 and Head Boys soccer coach in 1995. I coached the girls for five years reaching the District 3 playoffs three times and the PIAA playoffs once. I coached the boys for ten years reaching the District 3 playoffs four times. I was voted Mid Penn Division "Coach of Year" three times while head coach at East High. I retired from the boys soccer program so I could watch my youngest son, Chris play instead of coaching him. I have found that it is more enjoyable to watch our children play than coach them. I returned to coaching spring high school girls with the Lower Dauphin Falcons in 2004. The Falcons have visited the District 3 playoffs the past seven years in addition to three PIAA final four appearances. The Lady Falcons captured the PIAA State Championship in 2009. A new chapter: I am taking a break from spring high school soccer and have been named CD East HS head girls lacrosse coach for the 2011 season. We are playing well but having trouble putting together a complete lacrosse game. The CD East GLAX team has "brought it" every game so far this season. I am very proud of the team so far and with 9 games to go we are shooting for a school record for wins. 2013 spring GLAX season: The team set a school record for wins in a season going 10-5 and qualifying for the district 3 playoffs. We lost to the Number 1 seed Kennard Dale making our record 10-6 for the season. Senior Alex Stambaugh set a school rec ord with 125 goals this season totaling 266 goals for her career at East. June 10, 2013 will be my last day teaching as I am set to retire. Time flys by very fast because it seems like yesterday when I started teaching at Lower Dauphin and now it's over.
