Radnor High School Class Of 1966 50th Reunion

Dear Radnor Class of 1966, It's hard to believe but it's time to start making plans for our 50th Reunion. This momentous event will be held on Friday, October 7th and Saturday, October 8th, 2016.

10/7/16 - Friday evening will be a casual hospitality for classmates and guests coming from out of town and those living in the area to "meet and reacquaint" over cocktails and snacks from 7:00PM - 11:00PM. This will be held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Philadelphia - Valley Forge located at 888 Chesterbrook Blvd Wayne, PA. For those arriving a little early, the Embassy Suites has a complimentary evening reception from 5:30PM - 7:30PM including cocktails, soda and a light, dry snack.

10/8/16 - Saturday evening will be our 50th reunion celebration at the St. David's Golf Club located at 845 Radnor Street Road Wayne, PA. Dress will be business casual (or nicer if you so desire) and will be held from 6:00PM until ~11:00PM. Hospitality will commence at 6:00 with a cash bar and hors d'oeuvres. A delicious buffet dinner will be served at 7:30 followed by entertainment guaranteed to get you out of your seats and on to the dance floor.

Hotel Accommodations - The Embassy Suites Philadelphia by Hilton Philadelphia - Valley Forge is a full service, all suite, atrium style hotel conveniently located outside of Valley Forge. All rooms are spacious two-room suites with a private king bed guestroom and separate living room area with pull-out sleeper sofa. All rooms have a refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, wet bar and flat screen TV's. There is a complimentary cooked to order breakfast each morning.

I have blocked a minimum of 25 rooms for the Radnor Class of 1966. Our preferred rate for October 7th -9th, 2016 is $129.00 per night (plus 9% tax). I would suggest that you call and reserve your room at your earliest convenience. Please call 1-800-362-2779 (no later than 9/16/16) and identify yourselves as members of Radnor Class of 1966 - 50th Reunion to receive the reduced rate.

Work Ahead - We will definitely need all of you to help in finding numerous "lost" classmates. Under a separate mailing I will forward a class directory that Don Walker has been painfully maintaining for the past ten years. We will highlight who we either can't find or has disappeared from our radar since the last two reunions. You help in serving on a committee to locate these classmates would be tremendously appreciated.

Don has also volunteered to take on the task of name tags and Cappy Cantlin McMurtray is working feverishly on a class questionnaire.

We still need volunteers to help with a number of other details like menus, entertainment, center pieces, a possible school tour, etc., etc., etc. to make this special Golden Reunion one that will always be remembered for a fantastic turnout and a truly fun evening with lifelong friends.
