James (Jim) David LaVelle Jr. most recently of Myrtle Beach South Carolina passed away from COVID related pneumonia, on June 6, 2022. Jim, formerly of Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, attended Radnor Senior High and graduated in 1969. He went on to attend Penn State University where he majored in English, with a minor in biology, and graduated in 1973 with a BS in English.
Jim loved animals, especially his dogs and was a big sci-fi buff. He had a great sense of humor, was active in politics, and was an all around great guy.
Jim is survived by his children and loved ones, Jaime (LaVelle) Rowland, Jeremiah, Rick and Liam.
Memorial services will be private.

I remember Jim from the various reunions we went to and following him on Facebook. He really seemed to enjoy the reunions and seeing his old classmates and Mr. Balk one year.
