| About Me | After leaving Springfield, I joined the US Navy, and was assigned the rate of Hospital Corpsman, I managed to see a bit of the world. With the exception of a 30 minutes that I spent in a Navy helicopter that landed on an aircraft carrier, I was never on a ship. I was assigned duty in Naples, Italy on two different occasions, spending a total of almost two years there. Ever since then, I've been looking for a pizza that is as good as the ones that I had in Naples. I still haven't found it. I also spent a year in Vietnam with the Marines, in Phu Bai and Da Nang. After discharge from the Navy, I went into banking. From 1971 to 1993, I worked for a bank that was originally named Dime Banking, which became Anchor Bank, which became The Dime, which became Washington Mutual. In 1989 , I was transferred from the Western NY area to NJ. I left the bank in 1993, with the intention of not having to work again, but a bit of boredom and a desire to have a bit more to spend sent me back to work in various jobs. For a short time, I worked in banking again, then cooked in a small local restaurant and finally, worked in the accounting department of Sharp Electronics.
