Joan had the first car [a black Ford Falcon] of a small group of neighborhood after-school-hangout friends that I had. It was Joan’s own car. I never had a car of my own, but my parents let me borrow the family car once in a while. We rode the bus to school and I rode my hand-me-down bicycle from my older brothers most every where else.

McNatt Falls Community Joan White Otis, age 69 passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at Community Hospice Inpatient Facility in Vidalia, GA. She was a native of upstate New York and a resident of the McNatt Falls Community. She is survived by her husband, D. Michael Otis of the McNatt Falls Community; son, Jeremy (Laura) Otis of Helsinki Finland; grandchildren, Josephine and Patrick Otis; also survived by many relatives and friends around the world. At Joan’s request, there will be no services. Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Otis family.
