ANDREW PATTERSON "ANDY"
Class of 1986
Joined the United States Army in 1986, completed Basic Combat Training at Fort Leonardwood MO as a Heavy Truck Driver, Served 8 months in the US Army Reserves in Rochester before returning to active duty in 1987. Stationed in Kentucky, Egypt, Israel, Germany, Alabama, South Carolina. Commanded the West Seneca and Tonawanda NY Recruiting Centers. Served as the First Sergeant for the Rochester NY Recruiting Company and State of New Hampshire Recruiting Company. Retired as the Operations Sergeant Major of the Montgomery Alabama Recruiting Battalion. Deployed to Egypt and Israel as a Peacekeeper. Deployed to Desert Storm and Shield in Southwest Asia. Earned the Meritorious Service Medal 3rd Award; Army Commendation 10th Award; Army Achiement Medal 15th Award; Good Conduct Medal 9th Award; National Defense Ribbon; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; NCO Professional Development Ribbon w/4; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Ribbon 3rd Award; Multinational Force and Observer Medal-2; Southwest Asia Ribbon; Kuwait Liberation Medal and the Presidential Superior Unit Award. Currently working as a Department of the Army Civilian at the New England Recruiting Battalion.
