About Me	After high school i got the chance to attend Kutztown where i experienced some of the GREATEST years of my life! I met some people i will never forget & had the best housemates anyone could ask for. these are friendships ill cherish always! i graduated from Kutztown University in Dec 2000 and i worked a short while in Plymouth Meeting, PA. One night my best friend from KU begged me to drive 1.5 hrs to her house in Harrisburg for a party & i finally gave in after 5 minutes of her pushing. Within 5 min of getting there i fell down 13 stairs (sober) on my back & little did i know id broken my tail bone in half. at that point alcohol seemed like the best medicine for the intense pain in my ass (literally). Little did I know that my brand new Jeep Wrangler & my drunken wit would help me meet my future husband that night!! HA!! He spent the night holding ice on my back, fetching me Advil & making sure I was comfortable. We spent the entire night talking & he called within 5 min of me getting home to make sure I was ok. I knew he was a keeper! We did the long distance thing for 4 mos & then i decided to take a big chance and make a change. Within 2 weeks i packed up my entire life & moved to Harrisburg in with a guy i had known only 4 months at that point. well ive been here for the last 12.5 years so id say it worked out well! I've been happily married to this great guy of mine since May 3, 2003. we have 2 fur babies who pretty much rule the house. We also have 5 nieces & nephews who mean everything to us plus we get to be honorary "Aunt" & "Uncles" to a bunch of our friends adorable kids!! For the last 6 years things have taken a pretty bad turn for me as I've been battling for my health & have undergone more surgeries & procedures than i can count on 2 hands. In this time I've learned life is too short. No matter what your age, things can change in an instant. You have to appreciate each day you have and count your blessings. I've also learned to surround myself with positive, supportive, amazing people and I'm thankful each day to still be here & that's why it's important to make sure you remember to tell your loved ones regularly how much they mean to you! It makes life so much better! At this point I have good & bad days. I take one day at a time & just try to remember that there's a reason for everything and I work to keep my chin up hoping that one day things will get better!
