Vennie Murphy left life as he entered it, joyful, and respected for his commitment to helping family, friends and those who needed help along the way. He was a proud, involved member of the 751 Boeing Machinist Union. He was an active volunteer who answered the call for help in building ramps for the housebound, feeding the homeless at the Tacoma Rescue Mission and any other project which needed an extra hand. He earned a lifetime achievement award for his volunteer work.
He has left behind his wife Pam of 46 years and a daughter, Amanda. They spent years exploring the United States and the world. His sense of humor, compassion and playfulness will be missed.
