PLANO, TX - Dec. 19, 1954- Sept. 5, 2021
Mark Lee Smith “Smitty” passed away on September 5, 2021 in Plano, TX. at the age of 66. He
was born on December 19, 1954 in Oklahoma City,
OK to John Lee and Mary Louise Smith. Mark
grew up in Oklahoma City where he graduated
for Putnam City West HS in 1973 and OSU in
1977. Mark met Kathaleen Bowles in High School
and they were married in 1980. They raised two
beautiful children in Jason and Stephanie. He
went to work for Fain Models for 28 years as an
Engineer Facility Manager.
Mark enjoyed coaching fast pitch softball, Dallas Stars Hockey, Allen American Hockey, water
skiing, supporting Oklahoma Sooners softball,
watching college football and cheering on OSU
in all sports. His family and friends will always
remember Mark as the best softball coach, kind,
always positive, caring, compassionate person and
always put God and family first. He is preceded
in death by his father and mother; John and Mary
Smith, Aunt Edith Hester, Uncle Phil Porter, Uncle Keith Porter, Aunt Margaret Kennedy. Mark
is survived by his wife Kathaleene, son Jason, his
daughter Stevie, his brother Steve Smith, niece
Clare Smith, nephew Philip Smith, Uncle Ralph
Hester and his Aunt Beverly Porter.
Visitation is from 4:00pm- 8:00pm Sept. 16 @
