About Me	Enjoy gaming, both Digital and Table Top, reading, Scouting, Music & Dance After high school I went to Wentworth Military Academy on a Falcon Scholarship. I then attended the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. During my freshman year I was injured playing football and it cost me my pilot qualification. After that I really lost interest and floundered for a while and decided to get out since being a pilot was the whole purpose of going there. I received an honorable discharge. I was lost for a bit, lived back with my parents & worked at Pizza Hut. My father retired from the Air Force and got a job in Ohio and as I had no direction at the time decided to go with them. Worked at Taco Bell then started attending University of Akron. I started with Secondary Education but after too many debates with teachers changed over to Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. It is here at U of A that I met my wife Nancy. Unfortunately I never graduated as I ran out of money due to a disagreement with financial aid. Needing a quick career I decided to go to McKim Technical Institute and major in Electronics Technology. After graduation I worked as a board repair specialist at Diebold. Whilst doing that I was also learning computer optimization and networking so I could play head to head with my friends in a new game that just came out known as DOOM. ID software was a genius. So a friend of mine calls letting me know that there is an opening in his firm and I taught him all he knew. From there my career as a Computer Consultant was born. I worked many places and contracts and got married. I then took a permanent position at Progressive Insurance. We then bought a house and I had three kids. A boy, Alexander Christopher(1999), a girl, Kaitlyn Elizabeth(2000), and another boy, Daniel Patrick(2004). I believe I would have retired from Progressive, I loved my job, Third Shift Server Support, responsible for 2500 servers nationwide. Unfortunately they had other plans and fired the top technicians in our department after hiring techs for our department fresh out of college. Had it not been for my own business that I had doing consulting work on the side I believe we would have probably lost the house and everything. Luckily I was able to keep the collectors from the door with contracts and my wife's job as a teacher in Cleveland Public Schools. In the mean time I was also attending school online at the University of Advancing Technology and acquired an Associate in Computer Game Design - graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 Straight A average. I then also acquired a Bachelors in Information Technology. I finally took a full time position with OOI Solutions as a computer consultant, my full title being Development & Network Engineer. In May of 2009 OOI was acquired by an International consulting firm, Attevo. I am now a Data Security Specialist, Network Engineer and Instructor. I am currently working there and maintaining my own business, Blackmoorian Enterprises. I am also constantly training and getting accreditations / certifications. I am currently up to 53 among which are A+, PSE (PC Server & Netfinity), MCSE (4.0 & 2000), CLP (Dev R5), DCSE, Server+, STS (SF5, NBU6, SEP11), EMC SE, WCE-WS, SUN ...(read more)
