I had basic training at Lackland AFB, TX for 6 weeks and then went to Greenville AFB, MS for training to be a Personnel Specialist. Upon graduating from Personnel School, I was assigned to Clark Air Base Philippines for 18 months. Where I did the Morning Reports for 12 units. My next assignment was to Sheppard AFB, TX and was maintaining the Personnel Records for several units. I reenlisted on 15 May 1964 and received a base of preference to Tinker AFB. Received permission from my commander to reside off base with my parents. May 1965, I met a girl named Janet Tyson and she became my wonderful and supportive bride on 8 Oct 1965. 7 Feb 1966, I got orders to go to Wheeler AFB, Hawaii for 3 years. Maintaing the Personnel Records of 12 units in Southeast Asia. Arrived in Hawaii 4 Apr 1966. My next orders were for assignment to Headquarter, Air Force Communications Service at Scott AFB, IL, reporting 5 May 1969, where I maintained the Officer Command Records and the report for Gen Stoney's travel itinerary. The Headquarters moved from Scott AFB to Richards-Gebaur AFB, MO in July 1970. I processed the Officer Effectiveness Reports and wrote a suggested endorsement for General Stoney. 23 Apr 1973 to 27 May 1973, I went TDY to attended the NCO Leadership School at Luke AFB, AZ. On 23 Jun 1973, I was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal. My next orders were for Altus AFB, OK reporting 15 Oct 1973. Jun 1975, I went TDY to Norton AFB, CA to attended the MAC NCO Academy. On
