About Me	My wife Sojn and I have lived in the Seattle area Washington for over 25 years. Seattle is an expensive and people crowded city with nightmare traffic. So we really enjoy getting out of Seattle as much as possible and being at our second home condo in Eastern Wa (in a small town of 2100 people named Cle Elum 90 miles away) as much as possible to hike the beautiful woods and mountains, ride atv quads and golf and do boating in the summer, and cross country ski, snowmobilling & snow shoeing in the winter. As a retiree I stay very busy. I mentor and advocate for at risk black males in the Seattle Innner city high schools (5 high schools) in showing these young men how to be productive citizens in their community. I volunteer stocking food shelves at the local Food Bank, I wash dishes at the local Senior Center, and I volunteer being a judge for state and national competitions for LifeSmarts, which is an educational tool for high school students that teaches the consumer literacy skills needed by students to succeed in today’s marketplace. I'm also a Community Accountability Board (CAB) member for the King County Superior Court Youth Juvenile Justice Diversion Program. In this CAB role, I work to increase the juvenile’s awareness of the relationship between the criminal offense committed and the people harmed by the juvenile’s actions, provides restitution remedies to victims of the youth’s offense, provides accountability for the juvenile’s behavior, and impresses upon the youth and his family that the community is concerned with his/her conduct in facilitating a resolution of the presenting problem.
