About	My cousin Johnnie was raised in Purcell and graduated from PHS in 1972. Johnnie loved sports and football was his specialty. His position was Running Back and he handled it well receiving a merit award in football. He attended East Central Univ for 2 years. He joined the US Navy on Sept 3, 1974 and was honorably discharged on April 23 1976 in Norfolk Virginia. Johnnie returned to Norman where he worked at the Veterans Medical Center as an aide then as a supervisor for 21 years. He then moved back to Purcell where he worked at Guzzler's Convenience Store. He and wife Onnie have five daughters and three sons.
