About	My good friend & classmate Clarence Scott graduated from PHS in 1972, where he was selected by his senior class as Best Personality. Clarence attended 1 year at East Central University in Ada. Clarence worked for Greenhouse Florist during high school. He worked for Lone Star Gas Company from 1978 to 1995, the City of Purcell, S & S Plumbing Co, Usry Plumbing Company, Williams Inspections and Ideal Homes before health problems with his knee and ankle hindered his employment. Clarence's first love was softball where he had over 100 trophies won during his playing days. He traveled to numerous locations out of state with his team, the J T Co-Ed Softball of Purcell which won the state USSSA title in 1985. His favorite hobbies were listening to jazz music which he had a large collection of, gardening especially growing tomatoes, onions & giant size okra, and working word search puzzles. Clarence enjoyed companionship for 30 years with Vivian Prince and Vivian's daughter Tammy.
