Never want to face it when it’s time for punishment.” --LH-- Hello I’m Joaquin Acamapicthli Ortiz some people know me as J.Ortiz. I was born in Idaho in 82 and moved down to Texas when I was five years old. I’m a musician, I’m a former concert music promoter, a lover, and now I'm a fuckin Chef, I’m an above average guy. I reside in Mission in the lovely Rio Grande Valley in the bottom of TEXAS, I love it here, but sometimes I can hate it. When I was a kid I dreamed about seeing the world and living a life that would make me feel complete.I now live Houston. I use to be the frontman for R.G.V. band Fed Of Me for 9 years playing music and having fun sharing the stage with with my friends in local and national touring acts was great however, I was in that band for 9 years since 2000 i'm now writing music for another band, before I was just writing on my free time.I'm also the head of Dead Gift Entertainment i started young in high school. Growing up I went to four different high schools.psja north psja south nikki rowe and I graduated from Sharyland High school in 2000. I had the best two years a high school student could possibly. I live my life with good intentions and that’s what people know about me. My father made a living being as a Spanish Teacher and a Coach, so I love almost every sport. At the age of 15 I learned to channel my anger, sadness, and thoughts by listening to music. That was about the time when I started to write music and lyrics. What can I say I love ROCK. I listen to all types of music, and people who know me actually get surprised on the wide taste of music that I like. I've experienced a lot growing up. Getting older I came to realize that high school shit politics doesn’t matter. I try to forget most of the bullshit that seems to come into my life, but without it I would not be who I am today. I would be the first to say that my family is not like everyone else well at least from I have witnessed first hand. My family is my heart, I have two brothers and one sister. I am also a twin. I’m guilty of trying to get a fathers and a mothers approval, and I must say that is the reason I feel like I always have a lot to prove to myself. I used to love wearing black clothes growing up but now that I’m older I don’t mind color in my life. I think differently than you. I am everything you are not. My life is an intricate maze. I understand that LIFE is a journey not a destination, and I just want the best out of life. I hear I’m intelligent, and I agree. People that don’t know me say I’m hyper, energetic, and fun to be around, but I can have my bad days. I hate being pushed out of my comfort zone. sometimes I feel like I’m just a child with so much to learn, and as I live my life I will see what lies ahead, I live to inspire those around me to: not to give up, to live the life they want to live even though times can be rough, and to remember there is always a great looking rainbow full of color ...(read more)
