| About Me | Attended Illinois Institute of Technology - Industrial Engineering, Also attended Denver Metro-State College - Law enforcement & Criminology. After marriage and finishing College I became very interested in many different things. For example; I became a big animal lover which was probably due to my wife's great compassion for helping animals in need and her brilliant work as a Vet tech. I guess much her compassion rubbed off on me! ! was once an avid hunter of Deer, Elk, Ducks & Pheasant but I no longer have the heart for it! In fact, my wife and I developed a great love for working with abandoned dogs, cats and to an even a greater degree with sick, lame, starving and abused horses. I believe there's no greater satisfaction or joy in life than to experience the trust and friendship that is re-established with animals who have decided to choose you as a trusted friend. It takes a lot of time and effort to work with needy animals but the end results are indeed very rewarding! This is why my wife and I decided long ago to establish and operate a registered Colorado State Horse rescue called the Happy Trails Horse Haven which was targeted with helping all abused and needy equestrian animals. However, of course we have taken in many abandoned dogs and stray kittys, as well and worked to find them new caring owners! You might refer to it as a combined labor of love for the benefit of our many animal friends. Now that we're retired - everything seems to slow down with our Twi-lite years. And so we've now reluctantly passed along the rescue work to the youngsters.
