Melissa joined the Army September 1988 as a Private First Class (PFC) becoming a Combat Medic serving in Desert Storm (1990-1991) and Somalia (1993). In 1998 she became a Public Affairs Broadcaster serving in Iraq (2004-2005). Melissa is now a Master Sergeant (MSG) and currently assigned in Virginia working for the United Joint Forces Command.
