About Me	Typical of Washingtonians, I will begin with my profession - a Trade Lawyer and Licensed Customs Broker, I have legal clients around the world and 1.7 million air miles on American Airlines. I have an ex-fiance and she, my diamond ring and condo are still in St Petersburg, Russia. I try to run 70 miles a week (the treadmill in winter) and am 40 pounds lighter than I was 10 years ago when I was also easily bench pressing 320 pounds. Less now, but I am also 59+ years old. Meet dynamic, interesting folks around the world at local marathons. Things I like: Puma Motorsports running shoes, Restaurant Eve in Alexandria, dealing with students in my trade classes around the country and world, all of Scandinavia, food in Italy and France, the American Republic, the American Revoluion, life in general, my Siamese cat when it doesn't vomit on my clothes, going away on business or vacaton and returning home. I appreciate the farms and farmers of America; my father was one, worked extremely hard until the year he died at age 88 and because of folks like him, we have better food here than anywhere else in the world. Yes, that large and highly visible scar on my arm is due to an explosion in the humerus bone and associated 2-year paralysis due to an arm wrestling match in tuxedos at the Drake Hotel in Chicago; no, it doesn't bother me when people ask me about it. Dislikes?? Not many, but certainly for people who have bought too large suitcases to avoid the airline charge for baggage and spend untold minutes trying to stuff them in, or take them out of overhead containers while the rest of us wait.
