About Me	I was an exchange student at Princeton High School in 1967-1968. I am married to Hans who is a mechanical engineer. We have lived for 39 years in a town called Stege on a small island (Moen) in the southern part of Denmark, but in 2011 we moved to Vedbaek, 20 kilometers north of Copenhagen. Hans has produced sugar for many years, and he became the President of Stege Sugar Factory. I have been a teacher at Stege school for more than 30 years. I have been teaching all classes from the first grade to the tenth grade - mainly in Danish, English, German and Math. In 1998 I started studying part time at the Danish University of Copenhagen, and I got my MA in English and Education in 2004 after having studied hard while I was working full time in Stege School at the same time. I really enjoyed learning new pedagogy and introducing new ways of teaching in all my classes. Later I was appointed an external examiner at the final exams in written English for schools all over Denmark by the Ministery of Education. That was really interesting. I was a member of the group that developed and evaluated the written exams. I also became an external examiner of oral and written English at the final exams for new English teachers in several of the Danish Teacher Colleges. Now I have finally retired, and I enoy being together with my husband, my children and my grandchildren. I am very active doing sports three times a week (volley, badminton and swimming). I also read a lot of books in Danish, English and German, and I am a member of two book clubs. I play a lot of bridge. I also love to go to the theatre - especially to watch ballet. Hans and I have six grandchildren - three in Pennsylvania in the US (speaking Danish and English) and three in Denmark (speaking Danish and Spanish). Our youngest son is married to a woman from Greenland, and they are going to move up there in February. Maybe they will have children some day who will speak Danish and Greenlandic? Hans and I love to travel all over the world, and we especialy love tent camping and trekking in the mountains. We also like to go cross country skiing in Norway. We are both very active physically.
