About	James LeRoy Tharp, 38, a firefighter, died April 11, 1992 in a Norfolk hospital. Mr. Tharp was born in Hampton. He was employed with the Norfolk Fire Department. He was a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters, Local 68; Tidewater Regional Trench and Tactical Rescue Team; Tidewater Hazmat Team; and the Norfolk Fire-Medic Program. He was also an instructor with the Emergency Medical Service. Mr. Tharp is survived by his wife, Diana G. Tharp; a daughter, Casey Rose and a son, Jamie L Rose, both of Moyock; his mother, June Tharp of Winterbury, PA; and two sisters, Phyllis Cocharan of Winter Park, FL and Teresa Morrisette of Winterbury, PA.
