About Me | Metaphorically speaking, I am the definition of an oxymoron. Apparently, that was just the way i was made and thats how my mind unfortunately or perhaps fortunately works. I am an only child, yet the oldest child and the youngest child! Let me elaborate... Between my mother and father i am an only child. On my mothers side i am the oldest of my other two siblings and on my fathers side i am the youngest of my four other siblings; Along with, five other step brothers and sisters on both sides. My life is like a pleasantly hectic merry go round; In which, the day that i acknowledged that was the day that i found out how much aspiration i had for the artist in me that has inspired me to express myself through design. Even though i am young at heart, I have been through a lot of trials and errors that one should not have to endure in a single lifetime. At times, I feel like the hydro-logic cycle, changing in form from liquid to ice and ice to liquid. In which, i have learned to be firm like a glacier of ice to stand solidly still. Yet, ice is liquid and liquid is water, which flows with the wind! The complexity of being able to withstand any blow like a dense glacier, then, transforming into water to nourish, love and protect my family as we grow together, is knowing the difference of when to reshape from density to liquid. Its difficult to explain the thoughts that race through my mind and sometimes i confuse myself, because i have so many just coming and going. It drives me crazy not being able to grab and hold tightly to each one; Which makes me, love and hate myself, at the same time. However, i am happy that i am who i am, because i visualize things different than anyone else does, taking into consideration that I can envision beauty everywhere even when there is no beauty to be found. I envision my life as characteristically having the qualities of a caterpillar... ugly, distasteful to the eye, slowly crawling around; Then, gradually creating a solid yet strong cocoon, through painful transformation to tuck myself away and protect the beauty that metamorphosis's inside me. And when i emerge i will spread my bea...(read more) |
