Favorite School Memory	I did not participate in high school sports, but did enjoy several successes with the district and state high school science fairs. Also, I enjoyed working as a lab assistant for Louis Kohnke's chemistry classes during my senior year and working in Del Sommers photography dark rooms developing/printing photographs as a sophomore, junior, and senior. About Me	I graduated from the University of Wyoming on 2 June 1968 with my B.S. degree in chemical engineering and a commission in the Air Force through the Air Force ROTC program, married my high school sweetheart, Lynnette Reichert, on 9 June 1968, and reported for Air Force active duty at Edwards AFB, CA on 15 June 1968. Served on active duty as a Bioenvironmental Engineer at Edwards AFB, CA; Elemendorf AFB, AK (Anchorage); Ellsworth AFB. SD (Rapid City), and again at Edwards AFB, CA. In 1979, I separated from Air Force active duty and began an environmental engineering career with the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality in Cheyenne. During this period, I obtained my Professional Engineer licenses from South Dakota and Wyoming. I also earned Board Certificaton as an environmental engineer by the American Academy of Environmental Engineering, where I served on several committees. During state employment, I continued my part-time military career with the USAFR and Wyoming Air National Guard. In January 1990, I was activated by the WY Air National Guard and served during Operation Desert Storm. I retired from military service in September 1994 after 27 years military service with the rank of Lt. Col. Following a 30 year career wtih the WY DEQ in several engineering management positions, I retired in July 2009. During my professional career and into retirement, I also serve on the environmental engineering examination committee for the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying.
