About Me	My husband, Jerry Hubka, and I were married in 1968. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1970 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. We moved to Vancouver, WA. where I taught 1st Grade for two years. We returned to Colorado in 1972 and I began teaching at Bauder Elementary and taught 1st grade there for 30 years before retiring in 2002. I earned my Masters Degree in Elementary Reading in 1983 from UNC. After retiring I substitute taught by request for eight years. I received the Poudre School District “Distinguished Teacher Award” in 1995. Jerry and I have been married for 55 years and we have no children. We live 4 miles North of Ft. Collins on 4 acres with two horses and Chaz the cat. My mom, Maude Usel, passed away at 97 in 2021 here in Fort Collins. My dad, Stanley Usel, passed away in March 2017. My sister, Carolyn Usel Stegner also lives in Fort Collins. My hobbies include gardening, hiking, Tai Chi, crafts, reading, Book Club, traveling throughout the USA and Europe and participating in yearly Porsche Club of America ...(read more)
