About Event

Announcing the PGCPS Hall of Fame Gala - “Like None Other” Fundraiser – October 18, 2019 at MGM National Harbor - 6 pm! As one of PGCPS' Alumni Foundations, I am writing to invite you to join us!

The Excellence in Education Foundation for PGCPS, Inc. is a non-profit organization that seeks to solicit, receive and manage contributions to enhance learning opportunities for Prince George’s County Public Schools students and staff. Over the years, we have crossed many milestones. Since 2012, we have awarded over $1 million to 309 deserving graduation seniors and provided over 10,000 meals to students unable to afford a hot meal during the school year. This has enlightened us to just how important our fundraising efforts really are.

This year, we will induct distinguished alumni of the Prince George’s County Public School System into the PGCPS Hall of Fame. Our inductees have had a major impact in our community, country and world in the following categories: Athletic Achievement, Professional Achievement, Humanitarian/Public Service Achievement, Educator Achievement and Young Leader Achievement. Although the names have yet to be announced, you do not want to miss this great opportunity to be part of history being made in our community.

Our goal for this worthy event is to raise at least $150,000. The money raised will be used to expand our scholarship and hot meal initiatives, foundation operating costs and academic programming in the classroom.

When you join us, we will promote your alumni organization to our school community as an official sponsor and in turn, you will help us achieve our goals. Attached, is a sponsorship package detailing the alumni sponsorship opportunity for the event, along with a distinguished alumni nomination form for your organization's use. Please feel to contact me if you have questions.

I know you agree, Prince George’s County Public Schools is a worthy investment – a competitive workforce with some of the brightest minds being developed in our elementary, middle and high schools every day. It is our hope that you will join other PGCPS Alumni Organizations and high school classes to make the investment.

To become a sponsor or for more information of how you can help, please contact me at 301-952-6225 (o) or 240-338-4729 (c). I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
