Brenda joined the marines right after high school. She was a PFC. Killed in a training accident at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri in January 1998.

Served aboard the attack cargo ship USS Tulare LKA-112. Participated in 4 major campaigns and 29 months in Vietnam combat zone. Obtained rank of E-4 Boatswainmate.
