PHSdesigncrew -- beautification effort!
Great schools deserve great spaces. Portland High School is an extraordinary school, with a student body and faculty reflecting the energy, accomplishments, and diversity of our city. You can feel the dynamism in the classrooms and in the students.
Unfortunately, you cannot see it in the hallways. Great things may be occurring inside PHS classrooms, but the school’s halls are a bland counterweight. Students, faculty, and administrators bemoan the hallways’ institutional look. These spaces neither inspire nor engage. They are simply there.
PHSdesigncrew is a group representing students, teachers, administrators, parents, and artists. Our goal is to work cooperatively in transforming the interior of Portland High School.
PHSdesigncrew envisions a multi-phase approach that allows for many individuals and groups to participate. We are working with community resources in identifying equipment and personnel needs. We welcome your involvement and will keep you posted as we move forward.

The annual Alumni-Friends Dance will be held on Saturday, 11/29/2008 at The Portland Sports Complex (Warren Ave-Portland)

I am sorry to say that my father John L. Logan Sr. has passed away in May, 1998. He attended PHS and left to join the service and returned to graduate later. Thank you.

Portland-Deering Alumni Dance
The dane on 11/23/2007 at the Portland Sports Complex (The Dome) was a huge success. We sold 741 tickets! Thank you for your support.
The 2008 dance will be held on Saturday, 11/29/2008 so mark your 2008 calendars now. Our goal is to have 1000 tickets sold.
