About Me	CRYSTAL A. ( YATES) BLOUIR, WATERMAN, BLOUIR Been doing great. I raised 2 beautiful daughters on my own.Did a dumb thing married Dennis Blouir twice and Divorced him twice. I remarried In 1995 after I got my GED, to James Waterman 13 yeras my senior from Elgin,IL, But sadly he passed away Dec. 2, 2002. In March of 2003 I was given the news that I have Chronic Myloid Leukemia or CML. But it's in remission now. I take a pill form of chemotherapy Back in May of 2008,the last two weeks of college I could not finish. I found my self being life flighted to Deconess hospital. I almost died that night. I had four blood clots in my right leg. I don't remember much about that day. My daughter Susie does though.I was in a drug induced coma for about 2 1/2 weeks. I woke up to discover that I had become a below the knee amputtee. On July 4, 2008 I lost my right knee. I am now a bove the knee amputeee. I had 15 surgeries in 8 months time. with my family,girls and Debbie(Ohse) Lauderdale and Cathy (Ohse) Horton being there for me. It was not cancer that took my leg it was an insulin pump that caused blood clots. I did crochet an afghaan that hangs on the WEBQ tent for the Cancer Relay for Life. Other then that I wa in college full time now doing my classes online. I'm in my sophmore this year and takeing Medical Coding & Billing and Administrative Medical Assisting. Hopefully working towards my Masters in Adminstrative Business. But that's a long way off in my future. On July 18,2010 I ended up tring to die againthat night. Lifeflighted once again to Deconess Hospital to under go emergnecy surgury again this time for a flesh eating virus. I spent a month in another drug induced coma. Spent to monthes at deconess, than two months at health south rehab. than I was transfered to Ridgeway manor nurseing home for more recovery time. On December 30th I finially got to come home. It looks like I have a huge shark bite on my stomach. But thank GOD am still here missing parts of me ,but am here.ust found out that I will never walk again. can not make a leg for me. oh well it could be worse. But I will get b...(read more)
