Navy Reserves, 10 Years

Drafted out of law school in early 1965 while in Washington, D.C. Joined the Navy and spent 27 Months at sea on an aircraft carrier (USS Independence). Spent 7 months aboard a Brizilian Destroyer (CT Santa Katarina), followed by two years as the Commanding Officer of the Naval Investigative Service - Office of Naval Inteligence at U.S Naval Base, Guantanamo Bay Cuba. Drilled in the active reserves in Oklahoma City and Philadelphia Navy Shipyard for a total of 10 years, 3 months, and 14 days. My wife of 45 years was also in the Navy (Nurse).
