Jennifer Lewey, MD

Army, 7 Years
Served from June, 1993 through June, 2000. Began service at Fitsimmons Army Medical Center in Aurora, CO as a physician in residency training in Internal Medicine. From June, 1996 to June, 1997 served as Assistant Chief of the Internal Medicine Clinic at Evans Army Community Hospital, Ft. Riley, KS. In June, 1997 was transferred to Evans Army Community Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO. Here served as staff physician, member of Infectious Disease Control Committee and Chief of the Intensive Care Service. During September 1997 through December 1997 was deployed to Kuwait with the 64th Forward Support Battalion which supported the 112th Infantry Division. On June 30, 2000 was Honorably Discharged as a Major.

After going to basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, in Missouri, I was trained as a combat medic at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. During the Persian Gulf War, I served with the 410th Medical Evacuation Hospital in support of the "Big Red I".
