About Me	I have been active in the cosmetics industry since 1978 and have worked on the Raw Material Supplier side of the business, as well as for a Contract Manufacturer, and an International Consumer Goods Company for companies such as Fluid Packaging Company, Playtex Beauty Care, Inc., International Specialty Products, and Ciba Specialty Chemicals Corporation which is now part of the BASF Group. I have been an active member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists for 30 years, was elected as the 57th President for the U.S.A. Society of Cosmetic Chemists in 2003, and elected as a Research Fellow in 2004. I remain active on several National SCC Committees and instruct several SCC Continuing Education Program (CEP) courses in person, in the lab, and also via Webinars. I have also been a member of the American Chemical Society for 36 years and was a member of the Textile Research Institute (TRI) Princeton Board of Trustees for six years and I am a member of the Consumer Education Committee for The Soap and Detergents Association (SDA) now called the American Cleaning Institute (ACI). I am currently serving on the Industry Advisory Boards for the NCSU Research Center -The Nonwovens Institute, USM Institute of Formulation Science and recently joined the INDA association for Nonwovens. I am the author/co-author of 39 publications and 17 US patents and co-wrote a book chapter on Hair Styling/Fixative Products. I am currently Head of Technology Scouting & Portfolio Management for the Care Chemicals and Formulation Technologies - North America Region at BASF Corporation.
