| About Me | I'm an assistant professor in the Biology Department at WVU. I was born and raised in WV. I traveled around the country during my undergraduate (UNC), graduate (University of Arizona) and post-doctoral (Brandeis University) training. I then worked in the Biology department at Louisiana State University for seven years before finally returning to the mountain state that I love in 2007. I was trained as a neurophysiologist seeking to understand how nervous systems worked. During my tenure at LSU, I became interested in science education, I am now doing research in that area and trying to improve science education for undergraduate and graduate students.
