Erik Matthew Lofstrand, age 44, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 23, 2023. Erik was born in Winchester, Mass in 1978, and grew up in Plymouth in a suburban life filled with forest forts and soccer practice. As a teenager Erik enjoyed fresh coffee and tinkering with desktop computers, and after graduating from Plymouth North High School in 1996, he attended Wentworth Institute of Technology for Computer Science and architecture. He soon established a successful career as a security engineer, became CISSP certified, and had recently been promoted to Senior Cloud Security Manager at BJ's Wholesale Club.
Erik was the son of the late Carl O. Lofstrand, and is survived by Stephanie Lofstrand, his loving wife of 23 years, as well as his son Tiberius, his daughter Astrid, his mother Denise Lofstrand, sister Jaime Mahoney, stepfather Brian Lovett, stepmother Janise Lofstrand, mother-in-law Anne Marie Schmit, sister-in-law Jessica Przewozeny (Sullivan), and his nieces Noelle L'Heureux, Amelia Shaw, Cadence L'Heureux, Norah Mahoney, and Chloe Mahoney.
