Doug was a friend from grammar school, with his mother our first Cub Scouts Den mother. A million hours of Cowboys and Indians were played around his house. He lost his Dad while very young, and his mom re-married a good guy with a big family, and at the new house, a great basketball court was installed. Doug played way above his weight! At his funeral, his mom told me he worked hard for his great grades.
Both he and his younger brother did not make it out of their 20's, both due to natural causes.
Doug had what it took to be a great leader; our nation lost a great guy way too early.
