About	John Allen Lorenz OBITUARY JOHN ALLEN LORENZ John Allen Lorenz was born 10-1-1953 in Terra Haute, Indiana to Dr. Julian S. Lorenz and Violet M. Lorenz. He died 11-24-2016 at Enloe Hospital. He was preceded in death by his older brother, David Lorenz and succeeded by younger brother, Stephen A. Lorenz, nephew Stephen A. Lorenz Jr., niece Nichole Lorenz, her son Patrick, and step-niece Rachel Gale. John attended grade school in the San Mateo School District and at Sierra View in Chico, and graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in Chico in 1971. He received a B.A. cum laude degree from Cal. State University in Chico majoring in Spanish 5-23-82, and a M.A. Degree from Cal. State University of Sacramento in 4-2-91 where he majored in Spanish. His studies also included French, German, and Arabian languages. He worked as an Instructional Assistant for Butte College and as a Receptionist Counselor, and teacher for several agencies including the Butte County Health Dept. He was considered a strong valued worker in linguistics and computer science, always helpful and compassionate in dealing with others. His family would like to express their appreciation for the care he received at Twin Oaks and Enloe Hospital. Memorial gifts may be made at the Donors choice.
