About	Uncle Gene, preceded by his brothers Ivan Jr., William and Paul and sister Joane. His parents Ivan and Grace owned the farm on Rtm.#23 just south of the Vances trailer park. Their barn was known as the Brown House. Gene graduated from Ohio Wesleyan Universty with majors in business and accounting. He later obtained his masters in business. Eugene joined the army and was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery at the Battle for the Remagen Bridge and later at the Battle of the Bulge. After the war he remained to coordinate reconstruction. He met Annemarie Weber, a German citizen, they married in 1947 after returning to America. Annemarie lives in Florida near their daughter Gloria. Their son Steve, a politician in Colorado, lives with his wife Lynette. Eugene loved sports, reading and history. I miss our talks already, Tom Johnson
