Thomas (Tom) Johnson

Class of 1965

I must admit that my school credentials leave a lot of room for improvement. Still my time at Pleasant gave me a lot to be thankful. Aside from the classmates I remember the teachings of several teachers frequently.

After graduation we moved down to Columbus. After working the odd jobs I joined the Army and made my way to Viet Name for two years as an aircraft electrician and crewman. Within a short time a girl that I met started to write. In no time ar all we developed a long distance romance. When I came home for my first leave I asked for marriage. Forty-five years later we're still happily married. We have one awesome son. He graduated from OSU with a double major. He's married to a wonderful girl and we have two beautiful granddaughters.

After returning home from the Army I started work and after thirty plus years I retired on disabilities.

Although medically challenged I did sell insurance and securities. However, I'm now severally disabled. Thanks to an earlier brain tumor my hormones are out of control. This left me with severe arthritis, spinal stenosis, heart problems and finally end stage kidney failure.

Yet, still my wife and family have been my back bone and support. However, you too can help. Please visit the following site; www.gofundme.com/PleaseHelpTJ
Your help, no matter how much will be greatly appreciated.

God Bless,
Tom Johnson
