Served two tours in Vietnam aboard USS Oriskany CVA 34. Arresting gear crew one tour, Catapult crew (assistant cat captain) one tour. Awarded Navy Achievement Medal.

Received numerous awards while serving such as: I identified a flaw in the engine repair process, saved the U.S. tons of money and won Sergeant of the Year at my base in California. Was nominated and won Airman and/or Sergeant of the month award multiple times at each base I was assigned to.
