Frank Nardelli resides in Livonia, Michigan with his wife, Shana (Class of 91) and two daughters. Phi Delta Kappa has recognized him as a 2009-2010 Emerging Leader in Education. Frank was awarded the State University of New York at Geneseo Alumni Association 2010 Excellence in Education Award. Frank earned his Bachelor of Science in Education at the State University of New York College at Geneseo. Frank earned his Master of Arts in Literacy Education at University of Michigan. He is completing his research for his Ed. Specialist in Administration and Supervision at Wayne State University. In 1997, Frank was part of the founding faculty for Dove Academy, a K-8 Public School Academy in Detroit, Michigan. Frank taught first grade and third grade before becoming the Assistant Principal at Dove. Frank served as the Assistant Principal for three years and then was promoted to the Principal's position. The 2010-2011 school year was Frank's seventh year as the Principal of Dove Academy. In the 2007-2008 school year, Frank was one of five finalists for the Michigan Association of Public School Academies Administrator of the Year Award. Frank is the author of "We Love the Dove" and "After High School Comes College..." both children's books published by Mascot Books. Frank is an Associate for TurnAround Schools. He makes presentations at TurnAround School Institutes throughout the country and serves as a consultant for schools working toward preparing their students for college.
