About | Robin Douglas Orr August 30, 1952 - September 1, 2013 Robin Douglas Orr, age 61, passed away on September 1st, 2013 in Lubbock Texas at the Lubbock Heart Hospital as a result of complications following bypass surgery. Robin was born August 30th, 1952. He was preceded in death by his father Edgar Ray “Pete” Orr. He is survived by his adoring wife of 36 years, Kaye Graham Orr, of Big Spring Texas, his mother Faye Orr of Plano, Texas; his brother and sister in law Brad and Joni Orr of Little Elm, Texas; his sister-in-laws Gennie McAferty and husband Tom of Gastonia, North Carolina; Margaret (Becky) Graham Winkles and husband Billy of Bay City. He is survived by 3 beautiful nieces, Addie Lynn and husband Jason Pfingsten, of Forest Lake, Minnesota; Skylar and Summer Orr of Little Elm, Texas; 4 nephews Travis Orr of Little Elm, Texas; Graham and Michael McAferty of Gastonia, North Carolina; Alan Nauman and wife Jennifer of Longview, Texas; great nephews and nieces, Hannah and Joshua McAferty of Gastonia, North Carolina; Matthew Alan and Helen Margaret Nauman, of Longview, Texas; Julia Kaye, Mallory Carolyn and Marrisa Faith Pfingsten, of Forest Lake, Minnesota and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Robin graduated from Plano Sr. High in 1970 and graduated from Baylor Law School in 1976. He then moved to Bay City, Texas to practice law in 1976 to 2000. He married Kaye Graham on June 4th, 1977 in Bay City, Texas. Robin has served as the Assistant District Attorney for the 118th Judicial District Court including Howard, Martin, and Glasscock counties for more than 13 years. Robin greatly enjoyed hunting and traveling to wonderful places, often including family and friends on his grand adventures. He could often be found with his nose in a book because he loved to learn and actively pursue knowledge. Among his other interests, he enjoyed Baylor football, movies, and listening to music. Robin was a great man and a respected lawyer who always pursued justice in his job. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family. Visitation will be held Friday, September 6th from 5pm to 7pm at the Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City, Texas. The funeral services will be held at 10:00am Saturday, September 7th at the First Baptist Church, 2321 Ave. F, (Hwy. 60) Bay City, Texas. Burial will be at Cedarvale Cemetery on Golden Ave. in Bay City, Texas. Pallbearers will be Ken Culbreth Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas; Terrell Friedrich of Bay City, Texas; Jim Rider, Ted Seymore, Tommy Tune, and Hardy Wilkerson all of Big Spring, Texas. Honorary pallbearers are William A. Orr and Dr. Ken Culbreth from Bay City, Texas; David Orr from Van Vleck, Texas; and Noel Orr from Sweeny, Texas.
