Sandra (Parker) Hawthorn
Class of 1982
Air Force, 20+ Years
Served more than 20 years as an enlisted member of the United States Air Force. During that time, a few significant military actions occurred but the most memorable to me would be 9/11/2001. I was in charge of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations Operations Center when the World Trade Center and Pentagon were attacked. Stationed in Maryland, not far from the Pentagon, we had many members we were responsible for making contact with at the Pentagon as well as in New York City. Each year 9/11 has is a significant memory.
