About Me | Born in Bedford, IN. After grade one moved to Xenia, OH. Loved living in Plainfield from grades 7 through my junior year! Completed my senior year at Greenwood High School. I would love to have a diploma from the PHS Class of 1972, unless of course I had to complete the class work. (teehee) I have so many fond memories of friends, cheerleading (I finally made Varsity for my senior year, then moved. Shucks! ) The musicals were great fun, as well. Float making was a special time at Tinita's every year. I still keep in contact regularly with Robin Ward Jennings and her husband Bob, as well as Dave and Carol Ragsdale Thomas. (Anderson College grads with me.) It was a treat to spend time with Patrice Mills, Lindsay Goff, Vickie Muncy, and Debbie Stremming in recent years. I have touched base with Faye Doyle and her dear mother, Gladys. Just prior to my mother's passing 16 years ago she shared that some of her happiest days were living in Plainfield because of her friendship and time spent with Gladys Conwell. I am so blessed that my father, Vic Wagner, is doing well living in Bedford, IN. (Our hometown) My sister Brenda, my brother Butch, my father, and I stay very close, even though we don't live close to each other. Weekly phone calls and frequent e-mails are such blessings, enabling us stay constantly connected. God is good! I went to Anderson College 1972-1976 where I met my awesome husband, Jim Dietrick. He is a real estate appraiser, commercial and residential. Dietrick Appraisal Services. He is keeping very busy for which we give God the glory. I taught first and third graders for 28 wonderful years. Health issues forced me to quit teaching in 2007. I missed it so much----it defined who I was. After about six months I accepted the fact and now enjoy spending time with my four grandsons, and more time with my future granddaughter due in Jan. Patrick is six, Nate is four, Ethan is 18 months (Leah's children). Leah and her husband, Brian, are both high energy, fun-loving and ready to party anytime. Their boys have embraced this enricihng lifestyle. They are always going to the zoo, children's museum, hosting neighborhood cookouts, meeting with college friends; truly a family on the go! Leah graduated from Purdue and has her own business--marketing consulting. Brian, an IU graduate, is the executive director for the GOP political action committee. I'm so proud of both of them! Timothy is two and a half and will have a baby sister the month he turns three--January. Her name is Kathryn Joyce. I will be posting their pics on my wall. I love being a Mamaw!!! I daily pray that each of my grandchildren will accept Christ at a young age. They have absolutely wonderful parents. Leah has always been a high energy individual. She is GREAT with three little boys. The six and four year old LOVE to wrestle. My understanding is there are two rules: 1) Both have to want to wrestle at the same time 2) No tackling above the waist. It makes me so nervous! Little Timothy is quite the talker--he loves his two house dogs, his trains, his many books, and videos. His daddy is in grad school at IU--working toward his PhD in chemical physics, and his mother is working on a second masters degree. The first is in fine arts (creative writing), and presently she is working toward a library science degree with emphasis in research. Timothy goes to school as well at a local church. He loves it when they have Jesus time. Jim and I feel like the richest people in Pendleton, IN! (Those of you with grandchildren know what I'm talking about.) We love to have them overnight.......and then we crash.......but look forward to the next visit. I'd love to hear from anyone who might remember me from PHS or Greenwood High School. (Greenwood was a great school as well.) Also any Anderson College (now university) alums......I'd love to h...(read more) |
