Craig Carpenter

Staff Sgt. Craig Carpenter has been stationed at Tinker Air Force Base, OK since July 2004. He is currently in the 72D Medical Group as an Optometry Technician. He recently accepted a position as the 72D Medical Group's Unit Deployment Manager. He is responsible for deploying the 72D Medical Group's combat medics. He plans on joining the 507th Medical Squadron when his active duty enlistment is over and will be participating in the Troops to Teachers Program.

Responsibilities included weapons tracking systems, aircraft carrier support, naval gun fire support for U.S. land troops in Vietnam, and an occasional, unexpected engagement involving migs and gun boats just to keep our blood pumping.

I've just gotten through with a GSA tour to Iraq where I worked as a detentio Facility Guard at Camp Taji.
