Our senior year (1972), Melynda was killed in an automobile accident. She was a good friend of mine. Her parents, Bernard and Mary Ellen are still friends of the Bell family to this day. I shared many elementary school teachers with Melynda and later in high school, we were both in Art and French clubs. She was known as "Sunshine" to her friends.
