Sgt. Stanley DeWitt
Class of 1949
Army, 2 Years
Sgt. DeWitt enlisted in the Army just days after his 17th birthday before graduating from Royal Center High School. On Dec. 6, 1950, he was listed as MIA in the Korean War. His remains were returned to the U.S. in 2018 and identified in 2020. He will be laid to rest near his parents at the Royal Center Cemetery on Oct. 23, 2021. We invite R.C. and Pioneer alumni to line US Hwy 35 from Logansport to Royal Center to welcome him home.
