Anne was the first girl I ever dated. A truly beautiful girl, certainly physically, but also on the inside. Bright, caring, compassionate, friendly, and incredibly patient with both my shyness with her and my stuttering. A true gem. We didn't date long; our mutual shyness at the time got in the way. But I loved her then, without really knowing it, and certainly love my memories of her now. News of her death saddened me, and I hope she had a wonderful life.
