About	Feb 13, 1945 - July 19 2011 Resident of San Jose Jimmie Dale Varnell passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 19th at his home, surrounded by his family. After a yearlong battle with pancreatic cancer, it was time for daddy to be beginning his next journey. At any time in your life, if you knew our daddy, you were blessed. He will be greatly missed. Jimmie was born to Robert Wiley and Lavern Speers Varnell McLemore in Patterson, CA. He graduated Pioneer High School in 1964 then enlisted in the US Marine Corps, serving 2 tours in Vietnam. He was an employee at International Paper Co. for 19 years. After retiring, daddy became the care provider for his mother. His happiest times were spent with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and reading a good book. Jimmie is survived by his loving wife Barbara Ann, devoted children Christopher, Michelle, Frank and Sarah; grandchildren Raymond, Austin, Alexander, Isabella Anissa. He is also survived by his loving mother Lavern, and two adoring sisters Connie Harris and Carolyn Rivard. Jimmie is preceded in death by his father Robert Wiley Varnell and Edwin Roach. Family and Friends are invited to join in his Celebration of Life on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel of the Hills, 615 North Santa Cruz Ave in Los Gatos. Burial to follow at Los Gatos Memorial Park in San Jose.
