Dental Student Dies at 24
Services will be held tomorrow for Donald B. Megna, 24-year-old dental student, who died Sunday in Stanford University Hospital, Palo Alto, from aplastic anemia.
Megna was enrolled in the School of Dentistry at UCLA. His father, Dr. Joseph Megna, is a dentist with offices in Saratoga.
Young Megna, of 7582 Newcastle Dr., was born in Maryland and came to San Jose 10 years ago.
Besides his father, he leaves his mother, Florence Megna of San Jose; three sisters, Mrs. Barbara Jones of Mountain View, Mrs. Jean Schnerder of Santa Clara and Jodi Megna of San Jose; a brother, Michael of San Jose, and a grandmother, Mrs. Ena Bertossa of Belmont.
Services will begin at 9 a.m. in the Saratoga - Cupertino Funeral Home, 12341 Saratoga - Sunnyvale Rd., Saratoga, followed by a Requiem Mass at 9:30 a.m. in the Church of the Ascension and interment in Gate of Heave Cemetary.
A Rosary will be recited tonight at 7:30 in the funeral home.
