A Sterling man was killed and a Weldona man seriously injured when their pickup trucks collided at an uncontrolled intersection in northeast Weld County Monday, the Colorado State Patrol has reported.

David L. Bleistein, 60, was ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene of the 4:05 p.m. collision at County Roads 121 and 80, Technician Robert S. Nuse said.

The driver of the other truck, Casey G. Quint, 30, Weldona, was taken to North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, where he was reported to be in stable condition.

Quint was southbound on 121 and Bleistein was eastbound on 80 when Quint's truck hit Bleistein's in the driver's side, Quint's pickup rolling onto its left side and Bleistein's three quarters of a turn, Nuse said.
